Extending DCL With Command Files
DCL command files provide the potential to seamlessly extend the commands available to users and system managers. Adhering to OpenVMS conventions allows command files to provide seamless extensions to the standard DCL repertoire. Using DCL and its lexical functions provides ways to automate or assist standard tasks, while allowing the management team to provide an environment more resistant to accidental damage or carelessness. This session will examine how these facilities can be used to maximum advantage.
