OpenVMS for the Hobbyist: Industrial Strength at No Cost
OpenVMS, the industrial strength operating system with many unique features is now
available at no cost on a hobbyist (non-Commercial) basis. The ready availability
of low-cost VAX and Alpha hardware and the availability of freeware and hobbyist
PC-based emulators make OpenVMS an interesting platform for hobbyists. Since its
inception in 1997, the OpenVMS Hobbyist program has issued over 1,000,000 licenses
for use by hobbyists.
This session will provide an overview of the OpenVMS Hobbyist program and how it
can be used.
